About Wedding Benchmarks
Wedding Benchmarks is an independent data resource. We compile published US and UK wedding cost figures into one place, label every number with its source, and say where the sources disagree.
What this site is
The site collects wedding cost figures from named third-party studies (The Knot, Bridebook, Zola, Hitched and LendingTree) and lays them out by guest count, region and cost category. It also offers a wedding budget calculator and a free wedding seating planner. It is not affiliated with any venue, planner or vendor, and it does not sell wedding services.
Who is behind it
Wedding Benchmarks is built and maintained by Boldnsmart, as listed in the footer of every page. The figures are not original research: they come from the studies named on the sources and methodology page.
How the numbers are handled
Every figure is attributed to its source and labeled as an average or a median. Where we could not verify a number, we left it out rather than guess; those exclusions are listed on the sources page, along with the date the sources were last checked.
Corrections
If a figure looks out of date, a source link has moved, or you think something is wrong, email [email protected]. When a source publishes a new edition, the figures and the check date on the sources page are updated.
